Reuters Health: Female pediatricians paid 76 cents for every $1 paid to men

Reuters Health reports on two new studies which suggest that women in pediatrics still earn less than men even with similar levels of experience, even after accounting for the disproportionate amount of time they devote to unpaid work at home. Boston Children’s Amy Starmer, MD, MPH, co-author of one of the studies, says it is clear that future efforts will need to advocate for policies and programs that aim to mitigate these disparities.
