The Washington Post: Evidence grows that children may play a larger role in transmission than previously believed

The Washington Post reports that a new study finds some children have significantly higher levels of virus in their airways than the most severely ill adults — suggesting their role in community spread may be larger than previously believed. Boston Children’s Adrienne Randolph, MD, MSc, is leading a CDC-sponsored study with 73 medical centers across the United States collecting records and biological samples from children to better understand the novel coronavirus in children.
